Hi there! We have made it to the middle of the week! I don’t do many “surveys” on this blog but I recently found one on Peanut Butter Fingers. If you haven’t checked out Julie’s blog yet, make sure you do. It’s always super fun and has a ton of great easy recipes and circuit workouts. I visit her blog almost daily! Here it goes:
Fitness Edition: This or That?
Run or Work Out in the Heat and Humidity or the Freezing Cold?
I much prefer the heat but my body does not, especially because heat in New England is almost always accompanied by disgusting humidity. Summer is my favorite month hands down because I absolutely cannot stand being cold, not even for a minute.
Have Washboard Abs or Flat Abs?
Flat abs personally. I like to look like a girl and not have a totally ripped stomach.
Dr. Oz or The Doctors?
I have no idea what either of those things are so neither!
Cardio or Strength Workouts?
There is no way I can decided between the two. I cherish my running/swimming workouts and my lifting/yoga workouts equally. It’s all about balance.
Cravings: Protein or Carbs?
Carbs, carbs, carbs, carbs, carbs, carbs.
Jillian Michaels or Bob Harper?
I don’t really like either of them but if I had to choose which one I would be stuck on deserted island with, it would be Bob Harper. Jillian Michaels could possibly be one of the most irritating individuals ever to walk the earth. No thank you.
Frozen Yogurt or Ice Cream?
Frozen Yogurt! It just seems so much lighter and there are all those fun Fro-Yo places popping up lately. Hello Pink Berry!
Strength Training Upper Body or Lower Body
Probably lower body. I heart squats, lunges, etc.
Protein Powder or Food with Protein
Protein Powder. I don’t eat a whole lot of food that contains protein since I am a pescatarian. However sometimes I drink protein shakes to0 fast and end up with a stomach ache…see below. 
Lunges or Squats?
Lunges for sure. I feel like I get a whole lot more out of lunges than I do out of squats. Plus, I think lunges are harder
Sweet or Salty?
How about a sweet and salty mix? Love them both. Depends on the day or if there are candy pumpkins lying around…
Workout Attire: Cute or Comfy?
I gravitate towards workout clothing that is cute, comfy, and obnoxiously bright. If you feel/look good, you’ll have a great workout!
Body Pump or Heavy Lifting?
I don’t know what Body Pump is and I am certainly not a fan of “heavy” lifting. I like lifting that keeps things toned and strong.
Yoga or Pilates?
Yoga! I have been a different person since it made its way into my life in 2008.
Favorite Fitness Brand?
Easy answer: Lululemon
Running: Treadmill or Outdoors?
Outdoors. Being on a treadmill or any other stationary cardio equipment for more than 5 minutes is enough to drive this girl completely insane.
Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s?
Lately, I have started to gravitate towards Trader Joe’s because of their awesome prices!
Summer or Winter Olympics?
Summer. I was a competitive swimmer for 14 years so obviously I am going to choose summer!
Exercises Classes or Exercise Videos?
Classes. I have only seen a few exercise videos, but I have decided I hate them. They are on the same level as the treadmill. B-O-R-I-N-G.
Steamed veggies or roasted veggies?
Steamed. That is all.

I couldn’t agree more with you about Jillian Micheal’s I do enjoy some of her fitness videos but I wish I could turn her voice off! It is soo obnoxious and manly! I am jealous of all of your lululemon apparel, I have yet to bit the bullet and buy anything from there!

And I agree..summer olympics for sure! But I can’t say I agree with the love of squats and lower body. But I probably should so I’m less injury prone!
Outside running without a doubt, but I actually prefer snow running to the awful summer heat. Summer Olympics without a doubt. I am also a former swimmer. And Nike. I love Nike shorts, pants, hoodies and the fact that you can get it all at an outlet.
You haaaaaaave to try Body Pump, its a Les Mills group fitness class. Total body, kick your butt lifting workout. Lower weights with a TON of reps. Dooo it.
