I am home from work today, attempting to kick this sickness so I finally have a second to sit down and write a post!
First of all I want to say I am officially a huge fan of the Rock ‘n’ Roll race series. The event was so much fun and was really well planned out. Matt and I woke up around 6am to head to Prospect Park (only about 2 miles from Matt’s apartment) for a 7:30am start.
We got there, checked my bag, and headed over to the start line. It was a chilly but gorgeous morning. I have never had the chance to run in Prospect Park before and I am so jealous that Matt has the opportunity to do so whenever he wants.
Matt and I ran together the whole time and we both absolutely loved all the music and live bands! Neither of us were trying for a specific time, we just wanted to race and enjoy each other’s company. I was especially happy with that plan since six days before the 10K I ran a half marathon.
The finisher’s medal is by far my new favorite bling. I was surprise at how heavy it is and it is so sparkly! I love sparkles! After the race there were a bunch of tents with great freebies, and there was even a booth to get your medal engraved with your name/time.
This morning Matt emailed me about the “Tour Pass” that the Rock ‘n’ Roll series has available. For $399 you can sign up for any races within the series for 2013. $399 seems like a lot, but for all you race junkies out there, add up all the money you have spent on races this year and I guarantee it will be more than that. Plus, for those of you who have not run a Rock ‘n’ Roll race, sign up for one NOW. They are so much fun and very well put together! I think it is well worth it and it might finally give me the motivation to sign up for a full marathon. Should I do it?
Happy Wednesday!

Glad you loved the race! That tour pass is an awesome idea! That could lead to lots of cool race vacations
